Lesson 3: Be Yourself – Don’t be pressured

Be yourself - dont be pressured

This is a big lesson. These days you certainly can feel pressured to be someone you are not.

Being shy and quiet all my life, well certainly when I was young, you often feel small and want to hide in the corner. Over the years, you get stronger, build a little more confidence. I’m always pushing myself, not to be like others, but find out who the real me is.

Does this sound like you?

With the world of social media, you feel you have to be out there, doing lives all the time, shouting about your services, fast paced, making the 6 figure sales. But what about those of us, that can’t do that. I think it is more important to be ourselves, being confident more each day in our own way.

If we consider this from the other side, what does my clients want? They may be shy and lack confidence themselves. Feeling intimidated by the ‘in the face’ marketing that has become so popular today. So, I believe there is space for us all in this delightful world. Being authentic myself and resonating with my lovely clients is much more important than getting thousands of followers (although that would be nice too lol).

Be yourself - dont be pressured

What can we do:

  • Have clarity on who you are

  • Push yourself each day

  • Don’t try to copy others, they may be personally struggling themselves

  • It’s ok to be yourself

  • Know your ideal clients and know how to communicate with them

  • Empower like-minded people be themselves too

So, my lovely small business owner, whether you are an #artisan #florist #yogainstructor #coach #wedding planner or #natureinspired soul trader, let’s embrace us and shout out (well quietly lol) and be YOU.
